Contactless payments in Toulouse
Our Open Payment solution means there’s no need to queue at a ticket office, navigate ticket machines, or buy tickets from the driver. Instead, passengers simply pay by tapping a bank card, smartphone, or smartwatch on the validators installed on buses, trams, or metros.
2022 - Open Payment on the airport shuttle
Open Payment was first implemented on the airport shuttle in partnership with Banque CIC. Passengers quickly embraced this service, with adoption reaching over 40% in just six months.
2024 - Open Payment across the entire Tisséo network
Following its success on the airport shuttle, Open Payment was extended to the entire Tisséo network, including metro, tram, bus, cable car, and park-and-ride sites.
Fares are updated daily and automatically adjusted to usage, ensuring fair pricing based on the trips.
