Operational efficiency is everything in parking management. How has Arrive changed your day-to-day experience?
Arrive has brought full digitalization to our processes. This has completely changed how we work – for the better. We used to collect and analyze data manually. This took so much time, and it never really gave us the comprehensive picture we wanted. But now that we have Arrive, we have a centralized, up-to-date view of all our parking activity right across the city. The accuracy of the data and how it constantly updates is groundbreaking.
Arrive lets you monitor KPIs in real time. How does this benefit your operations?
We’re now able to make informed, data-driven decisions. Take, for example, the average occupancy time of a parking space. With Arrive, we now have the data we need to optimize parking rates and space value. Planning, forecasting, and even budget management is so much simpler with digitalized data.
How are you using your newfound insights to improve enforcement?
One way is how we use the Arrive’s dashboard to understand parking peak periods across our city’s different zones. Now we know where our highest-volume parking areas are, we know where enforcement staff needs to be – and when – to be efficient and effective. This really helps us optimize our resources.
Have you adjusted any policies because of your new data?
We’re seeing opportunities to refine and improve all the time. A good example is in Pugliola, where we have a peripheral parking lot mostly used by tourists. The data showed that occupancy there was very low. Based on this, we decided to remove the paid parking rules for that area, while simultaneously expanding others to protect revenue.
Is Lerici experiencing any other efficiencies now that parking management is digitalized?
As more residents and visitors adopt the parking app from Arrive, we’re seeing parking disputes fall dramatically. Because drivers now get notified when their session is about to expire – and can easily extend in a few taps – disputes have dropped 30% in just 24 months. Arrive even introduced us to SCAT, a Brav solution, which lets drivers upload a photo of their license plate instead of manually entering it. No more disputes caused by incorrectly entered licence plate data!
